Here at Houstrup, you experience the best of several worlds: the deep calm of Blåbjerg Klitplantage, the diverse wildlife of the forest, and the powerful waves of the North Sea. Explore Denmark’s highest dune, where from the top of the 64-meter-high Blåbjerg, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the area. Go amber hunting along the wide sandy beaches, listen to the wind rustling in the trees, or watch the deer grazing at dusk.

Hiking Routes at Houstrup
Explore the varied landscape around Houstrup. Two marked routes await, each with its own unique charm – choose between the long yellow route (6.8 km) that takes you through both Nyminde and Blåbjerg Plantation, or the shorter red route (2.9 km) that focuses on the open landscape and dunes.
Both routes start at the parking lot at Houstrup Beach and take you through the hilly terrain. You can also create your own route – follow the beach as far as you like, then return through the beautiful dunes. With only 4 km from the campsite to the beach, there’s plenty of opportunity to explore the area at your own pace.
Enjoy Nature on Two Wheels
Hop on your bike and experience the contrasts between the roaring North Sea and the calm Ringkøbing Fjord. The Panoramaroute from Nymindegab to Bork Havn and Nørre Nebel offers special West Jutland nature: Spot the rich birdlife at Tipperne, and take a break to watch the colorful sails of windsurfers on the fjord.
The 42 km route is perfect for a day trip with the whole family, and you can start right here at Tipperne Camping.

A lovely, quiet place with a super friendly team. Beautifully renovated outdoor swimming pool, mini-golf, playground, and a great off-leash area for dogs!
